California Dreamin.. on such a summers day!

It's 113 degrees in the Phoenix area today.. our weekend in Oceanside, CA was great! The temperature runs about 30 degrees cooler than Phoenix, so it was nice to get away from the heat. We arrived back home last night at 7:00pm. Just in time for a summer monsoon. The lighting was beautiful!









I had time to make a small travel journal before I hit the hay last night.

Business is good! I wanted to post pictures of these books I just made!





So, I got this order for a scrapbook, so I made it and sent pictures along with instructions on how to purchase it.. well, my customer purchased the book AND THEN made another order for her mother. So I just finished the second book. Yay! I forgot how fun it is to make these. They are actually easier because the cardstock for my wedding guest books is really thick compared to the cardstock in the scrapbooks.

Wedding

We've decided on a wedding venue. We are going to get married at Jasons parents house. We are very excited! They have a very big house that can fit 75-100 people. Best thing is, it's free!
We are going to California this weekend for a mini vacation. Jan and George bought a retirement home in Oceanside. I'm really excited. Now I just have to find a pet sitter again. The neighbors said they would watch them, but I don't feel comfortable. I feel bad asking his sister again, and none of my friends will be able to. *sigh*
On another note. I was telling Jason the other day, I love our life right now. I just got a promotion at my *REAL JOB*, we're planning the wedding, we own our own home, we have a pool, our dog babies are healthy, our friends are awesome, our weekends are always busy and my book business is taking off. I'm really loving life right now, but I especially love my sweetie. *smooches*

Busy Book Making Weekend! I love them!

I've made quite a few books this weekend. The blue ones are my faves! I've had a lot of custom orders and even more special requests. I just wanted to share. I've worked hard today!

It's been awhile

I haven't blogged in awhile, so here it goes!
WOW! I need to stay more organized! I just spent a ton of money at Michael's on some organization shelves and cute boxes. Yay!
I also found this awesome Scrapbook store in Mesa. They have all kinds of wonderful pattern prints that I can't wait to use!
As far as my books, business has slowed down a little since I got back from vacation. I haven't been promoting like I should, just in the last few days I've had a lot of special requests that I'm hoping will turn into orders. I need to clean up my work space and start on my books. I haven't had a lot of time to make anything new, for the first time in a long time I have a life and my weekends are full and busy.
Friends:
Angie - She came over last weekend and we swam in the pool, and we made a couple books, and we watched a movie. It was fun! I love it when she comes to sleep over =)

Tara - She had a party last night and we drank, played beer pong, went to IHOP and played Trivial Pursuit. Lots of fun!

Wedding:
Still haven't decided on the color scheme yet. Leaning towards Blue and Green. Checked out El Encanto for the venue, it was nice but not what we're looking for. Going to check a few other places next weekend maybe.

My "Real Job"
Eww.. so disappointing lately. I was up for a promotion and didn't get it. Now I'm up for another one but who knows? Either way, I put in for a schedule change to work days. I figure I'll have more time to get things done, work on books, etc. We're thinking of starting a gym membership. It's hard to find the time when you work 10 hour days. We'll see how things go.
